Concerts at Grace
Concerts at Grace provides a performance opportunity for a wide range of musicians and musical styles from the regional music community in an intimate setting with fine acoustics.
On March 1, 2025 at 7pm the Halifax Camerata Singers under the direction of Joel Tranquilla will be offering a Winter Showcase in the Grace Sanctuary. Admission by free-will offering with proceeds split between the Halifax Camerata singers and the Canadian Mental Health Association Halifax Dartmouth Branch.
Think of it as a kitchen party with small group performances by the singers in a relaxed setting. It will feature the works of Carole King, Feist and Stan Rogers.
Save the Date for Spring Sing
On Sunday, June 1 at 3pm the choirs of First United Church (Truro), Grace United Church and Port Wallis United Church will be offering a program featuring the Atlantic premiere of Gardens: a sacred oratorio by David Squires. Ms Chloé Thiessen will be the soprano soloist with Adam Johnson on the organ and Joel Tranquilla conducting.
Past Concerts:
It Takes Two was a recital on Sunday, May 26 at 2:30pm by two visiting artists: Chloé Thiessen, a soprano based in Winnipeg, MB and Thomas Cherney, a baritone based in Kingston, ON. There were selections by Bach, Mozart, Lauridsen, Sondheim, and more. They were accompanied by Joel Tranquilla on the piano.
