Concerts at Grace

Concerts at Grace provides a performance opportunity for a wide range of musicians and musical styles from the regional music community in an intimate setting with fine acoustics.

Grace is often a concert venue for other groups. The Dartmouth Choral Society will be holding their spring concert, Fascinating Rhythm, on May 3 at 7:30pm at Grace United.

Grace has been home to the Inclusive Community Choir for 10 years. The 10th Year Anniversary Concert and Celebration will be held on Sunday, May 4 from 2:30pm-4:00pm with concert beginning at 4 pm. The special guest are Polaris and the Port Wallis Choir. A free will offering will be accepted.

Spring Sing

On Sunday, June 1 at 3pm the choirs of First United Church (Truro), Grace United Church and Port Wallis United Church will be offering a program featuring the Atlantic premiere of Gardens: a sacred oratorio by David Squires. Ms ChloƩ Thiessen will be the soprano soloist with Adam Johnson on the organ and Joel Tranquilla conducting.

Past Concerts:

It Takes Two was a recital on Sunday, May 26 at 2:30pm by two visiting artists: ChloƩ Thiessen, a soprano based in Winnipeg, MB and Thomas Cherney, a baritone based in Kingston, ON. There were selections by Bach, Mozart, Lauridsen, Sondheim, and more. They were accompanied by Joel Tranquilla on the piano.
