F.O.O.D. (Feeding Others of Dartmouth)
The Feeding Others of Dartmouth (F.O.O.D.) Program has continued to grow through the generous donations of food and monies from the Christian Relief and Development Coalition. The daily hot lunch program and tri-weekly supper program at Margaret's House has been dependent on the Coalition for more than 75 meals each day.
The Christian Relief and Development Coalition, operating since 1982, is made up of representatives of a number of Dartmouth churches, including Grace United. Its purpose is to give support and structure to the F.O.O.D. program at Margaret’s House. Meetings are held nine months of the year on the 3rd Thursday at 9:30 am at First Baptist Church.
To support F.O.O.D., a fundraising Christmas Dinner and Auction called a Christmas Full of Caring has been held annually for many years. This is generally held on the first Sunday in December.
Grace congregation supports several local community-based organizations in a variety of ways - whether through donations of goods, volunteer time or financial support.
